Focus SchoolsBackground and Purpose: The American Indian Focus Schools Program is a partnership between the Denver Public Schools (DPS) and the American Indian community for the purpose of improving the education of all children. Not all Focus Schools are at capactiy. If you wish to transfer your child to an American Indian Focus School, please submit your application as soon as possible. Students are eligible to transfer. The Focus Schools for school year 2005 - 2006 are:
Some American Indian students in the Denver Public Schools are experiencing success in their home school or magnet school. Other American Indian students benefit from the concentration of support and services at the Focus Schools. If you have an interest in learning more about the program or need enrollment information, please contact the Indian Education Program Office. If your are interested in enrolling your child(ren) in one of the Focus Schools, please print the Focus School Application and mail or fax it to the Indian Education Program Office, in care of Linda Montour.
